Jaguar Mark VII 1951 Restored - Winner concours d'elegance with sunroof
The real Big Cat from Jaguar. Delivered new in 1951 and fully restored in detail 10 years ago. A real nuts and bolts restoration. The exterior of the Mark 7 has a beautiful light blue paint and new chrome work. The paintwork is exactly the same as the introduction colors from the brochure and at the public presentation. The luxurious interior has beautiful new gray leather and still looks great, the interior is also adorned by a high quality finish and an impressive amount of wood. A very nice detail is the very large and original sliding roof. Works well and is great in the summer.
Technically, the Jaguar is equipped with the original Matching Numbers 3,442cc 6-cylinder in line with 160 hp. The Matching manual gearbox is unique. Only 624 copies were delivered with this. The technique was completely overhauled with the restoration and brought back to perfect condition. This makes the Jaguar drive and shift as it should. The original set of tools is also still present at the impressive saloon!
In 2010 this car won the First Prize at the Concours d'Elegance at Paleis t Loo in Apeldoorn. A nice token of appreciation to the restorer.
A lot of documentation is available with this Jaguar, including the Jaguar Heritage Certificate and a restoration report.
