DAF 44 Luxe with Variomatic 1969 in beautiful condition
 

This elegant DAF 44 Luxe was designed by the Italian master designer Giovanni Michelotti and fulfilled the demand for a bigger DAF car.

Delivered new in 1969 and therefore a first type 44. These can be recognized by the narrow headlight rings, single trim on the front and the written logo on the bonnet. Both the beige paintwork and chrome are in very good condition. Minimal traces of use. A nice detail are the original mirrors with DAF print and the white walls. This makes this 4402 look like it came straight out of a brochure.

The interior is at least as elegant as the exterior. Red leatherette with beige and black accents. Here too, the first type is clearly visible by the two-spoke steering wheel. The seats are still very good and comfortable. The back seat and the headliner are also still beautiful.

The mileage of 44,444 km is pure coincidence…!

The DAF drives absolutely fantastic and has only driven 44,444 km. In recent years it has had extensive maintenance at the DAF doctor from Bleiswijk and that is noticeable. The original 844 cc air-cooled 2-cylinder boxer engine runs very well and is coupled to the world-famous fully automatic Variomatic. Drives great and the Variomatic does the rest of the work.

An early and extremely elegant, typically Dutch DAF 44. Export is possible, but it would be nice if it stayed in the Netherlands 😉
