It is certainly a unique appearance. This fully customized Land Rover Defender from 2002 originally delivered in Bonetti Gray and now in Marine Blue with a white roof. In 2021, this Defender was fully restored and adapted to the wishes of the current owner. Who sells him because of emigration.

Quality has been the keyword for this retro look. No expense has been spared to build this project in detail and with the best materials. The restoration was carried out by Land Rover specialist Moor For The Weekend from the Netherlands. The Defender has been restored as an ode to the older Series and with the aim of being able to be used on a daily basis. You can read the restoration in detail below. Bodywork

The complete body has been disassembled into parts down to the bare chassis. All parts have been checked, if necessary replaced for original parts and painted separately in color. Many components have been re-galvanized and left exposed. In addition, the body surfaces are equipped with a special sound- and vibration-damping insulating material. The goal in the construction was quality with extra attention for tight and as few visible closing seams as possible. In addition, the doors have been replaced by improved steel 'puma' doors. The complete bodywork has a beautiful and very high-quality Marine Blue paint with a white roof. During construction, new seals, special seals were used and extra attention was paid to watertightness and rust prevention. Corrosion-resistant Duralax Paste is used for every bolted connection to prevent electrolytic corrosion. This is a very well known problem at Land Rover, given their use of Steel and Aluminum interchangeably. With this first this Defender his high-level ancestors. Chassis

Also completely disassembled and made bare. The chassis is fully coated and new steel wheels with a different ET value. This makes the Defender look better on its wheels. Handling is definitely improved with the new springs and superior OME shock absorbers.

Techniques

The complete technology has been checked and maintained/replaced where necessary. Replace with original or improved parts. As an example we can mention; brake discs, calipers, master brake cylinder, clutch cylinder (main and slave), clutch (Loft clutch), pressure group, flywheel, many mechanical parts have been replaced in the powertrain. See pictures attached. All replaced parts can be found on the many invoices and various maintained lists.
