These models can be identified by their narrow headlamp bezels, single front trim strip and the script logo on the bonnet. Both the beige paintwork and the chrome are in very good condition, showing only minimal signs of use. Lovely details include the original DAF-branded mirrors and the whitewall tyres. Red skai upholstery with beige and black accents. Here too, the first-series model is clearly recognisable by its two-spoke steering wheel. The seats remain in excellent condition and are very comfortable. In recent years it has benefited from extensive maintenance by the renowned DAFdokter in Bleiswijk, and it certainly shows. The original 844 cc air-cooled two-cylinder boxer engine runs beautifully and is paired with the world-famous fully automatic Variomatic transmission.
