The Packard was affectionately nicknamed the Pregnant Elephant because of its distinctive shape. It was later added to a private collection, where it remained for some time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe ivory coloured exterior is complemented by the imposing front end with its extensive chrome detailing. The exterior is in good condition and shows some signs of use consistent with its age. A particularly charming feature is the working spotlight mounted on the roof.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eInterior\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe interior is truly impressive. It is finished with beautiful fabric upholstery, carefully detailed with numerous small chrome accents. Another wonderful detail is the radio, which is completely integrated into the dashboard.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe fabric upholstery was replaced in the past and is therefore in excellent condition, while the other interior components remain original.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEngine and Mechanical Condition\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Packard is powered by an impressive 5,833 cc eight cylinder inline engine producing 160 hp. It is paired with a completely new old stock three speed manual gearbox, making this an especially unique and original combination.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe starter motor has also recently been completely rebuilt at a cost of more than €2,200.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Packard drives, brakes and shifts well. However, after an extended period of storage, we recommend having the car thoroughly inspected before using it extensively. A test drive is of course no problem.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Custom Eight was one of Packard's most luxurious specifications and examples are rarely seen today.
