RESERVED - DAF 31 Pick Up

Omschrijving

The Dutch passenger car manufacturer DAF released various passenger cars from 1959 onwards. They quickly became popular, resulting in demand for variants, including van and pickup versions. These true workhorses were not spared and, after a tough life, were usually scrapped and/or used for parts. Not many were ever produced, but only two examples have survived!

This is a 100% original DAF 31 pickup. Call it ultra-rare, especially in this condition with the complete history. Only 534 of these pickups were produced, so only two remain. One of which, and this one, is in the DAF Museum in Eindhoven.

The 31 Pickup is recognizable by its grille, designed by master designer Giovanni Michelotti. This gave the DAF a sleek and modern look.

This example was found in France, by chance, and has been meticulously restored to its original state. It is not a complete pickup, but a completely factory-original model. It includes: Recognizable by the Dustexa gray paint with white bumpers and grille. No chrome trim, as that was too fancy for this workhorse. The hood and frame have also been restored and are in working order.

The air-cooled 2-cylinder boxer engine produces 30 hp and is, of course, paired with the Variomatic automatic transmission.

A unique opportunity, but already sold!
