Ford Model A Deluxe Roadster with Dicky Seat 1931

Step back into the 1930s with this beautiful 1931 Ford Model A Deluxe Roadster. For enthusiasts of pre-war classics this is one of the most beloved models thanks to its distinctive appearance reliability and surprisingly user-friendly operation.

This Ford is finished in stylish Ford Manilla Brown with black fenders. The original pressed ribs on the fenders can still be clearly felt a lovely detail that emphasizes its authenticity. In addition the fenders are fitted with spare wheels with protective covers. The bodywork is richly decorated with beautiful original details that perfectly match the appearance of this classic roadster.

The bodywork and paint display an appropriate patina that suits a car of this age without any serious damage. It is an older restoration dating from around the 1990s. The chrome work is in good condition. The cream-colored wire wheels combined with the whitewall tires give the car a particularly elegant.

This Ford began its life in the United States and was driven there for many years. In the 90s the car was exported to Belgium where it was restored during that period. After the restoration the Ford was used for some time before becoming part of a prominent Dutch private collection. There it remained for almost twenty years as part of an impressive collection of classic automobiles. Recently we brought this Model A back to life.

Under the hood is an original 3285 cc four-cylinder engine paired with a manual three-speed gearbox. The engine has been started and runs properly. An oil service has also been carried out and the mechanical components have been partially inspected. As with any classic car that has been standing for a longer period we recommend a full technical inspection before intensive use on public roads. The Ford drives shifts and sounds exactly as a classic Model A should.

The interior is finished in brown skai leather including matching door panels and is in very good condition. The large original steering wheel has also been well preserved. The popular dicky seat also known as a rumble seat mother-in-law seat or buckel seat is likewise in good condition. Through the easily opened rear lid passengers can take a seat in this characteristic additional seating area a special detail that makes this Ford even more exclusive.
