This beautiful DAF 66 Marathon 1300 Coupe has been owned by its last owner for more than 30 years, who restored the car in 2006.
Since the restoration, the DAF has been carefully maintained and regularly inspected. This is clearly reflected in the way it drives, as it performs exceptionally well.
This is a highly original 1300 Marathon Coupe finished in distinctive Toendra Green, a deep green colour complemented by the silver Marathon stripe along the sides.
The car has been driven regularly since its restoration, so there are naturally some signs of use. The chrome work remains in good and neat condition, while the exterior is further enhanced by the original DAF Marathon alloy wheels.
Interior
The interior is also in neat condition and features the comfortable black "Nun's Cap" seats.
The wood effect dashboard is equipped with the distinctive centre console containing the original working VDO/DAF instruments, including a vacuum gauge, rev counter and clock.
It is a wonderful detail to look at while driving and remains highly practical as well.
Engine and Transmission
The Marathon is powered by its original 1,298 cc engine producing 57 hp, paired with the famous Variomatic transmission.
The DAF drives and shifts perfectly and responds quickly and smoothly to the throttle.
