This exceptional Jaguar Mark 2 3.8 was delivered new in 1960 and has been restored to an outstanding concours-standard condition. A truly remarkable example, this classic Jaguar travelled extensively throughout Europe during its early years, with its complete history carefully documented. The extensive archive offers a unique and fascinating insight into the car’s provenance and ownership history.

In 2007, the car was acquired by its second owner and imported to the Netherlands, where it underwent a comprehensive, fully documented restoration. The bodywork was completely rebuilt and refinished in its original and elegant Old English White paintwork. Every chrome component, from the bumpers to the door handles, was renewed to the highest standard.

The interior was entirely retrimmed in beautifully handcrafted red leather, perfectly complementing the exterior and enhancing the luxurious character of the car.

Mechanically, the original matching numbers 3.8-litre engine was fully rebuilt and paired with its original matching gearbox featuring a perfectly functioning overdrive system. The car performs and drives exceptionally well.

This early-production Mark 2 is presented in true showroom and concours condition and is accompanied by an impressive history file, including the original purchase invoice, factory booklets, a detailed restoration report, restoration invoices, and a collection of rare historical photographs.

A rare opportunity to acquire a highly collectible and beautifully restored Jaguar Mark 2 with exceptional provenance.
