Beautiful 1960 MG MGA Roadster, ready to enjoy!

This MG MGA Roadster was delivered new in the United States in February 1960. During the 1990s, the car was sold to Germany before being imported into the Netherlands. There, it underwent an extensive restoration and has since been owned by two Dutch enthusiasts, who maintained it to a very high standard.

The exterior is finished in its original Chariot Red paintwork. The deep red colour looks stunning in combination with the chrome trim. Naturally, the paint shows some signs of use after approximately 30 years on the road, but nothing out of the ordinary. The finish remains deep and glossy, with no signs of rust or corrosion. The Roadster is also equipped with a tonneau cover, a beautiful soft top and the original detachable side screens.

The interior is a real eye-catcher with its beautifully finished wooden dashboard. The woodwork is in excellent condition and complements the chrome gauges and switches perfectly. The seats are also in excellent condition and offer a high level of comfort. Finished with elegant red piping, they complete the classic British sports car atmosphere.

Mechanically, the MG is powered by its original 1,581 cc four-cylinder engine producing 81 hp, equipped with twin SU carburettors. It starts effortlessly and drives exceptionally well. The 1600 engine runs smoothly, responds eagerly and feels lively at higher speeds. Power is transmitted through a smooth-shifting four-speed manual gearbox. More recently, a Kenlowe electric cooling fan has been fitted to help prevent overheating.

This MGA 1600 is fully prepared for the summer driving season. It will be supplied with all available documentation, including its original U.S. title, German registration documents and an extensive file of Dutch restoration and maintenance invoices.

The MGA is currently registered with a valid Dutch historic registration. Worldwide export can be arranged.
