This beautiful Triumph Spitfire 1500 TC was first delivered in the Netherlands in 1978 and has spent almost 30 years in the ownership of two brothers who cared for it with great dedication. Since new this Spitfire has had only two owners.
The deep red paintwork remains in excellent condition and has retained its rich colour beautifully. Combined with the chrome trim and black exterior details the car has a timeless and sporty appearance. The wheels are fitted with elegant wire wheel covers that perfectly complement the classic British styling. As expected there are a few light signs of use consistent with the age of the vehicle.
The interior offers the unmistakable charm of a classic British sports car with its beautiful wooden dashboard and traditional instruments. The seats have been professionally re padded in the past providing excellent comfort while the black skai upholstery remains in outstanding condition with no tears or significant wear.
Power comes from the original 1493 cc four cylinder engine producing 71 horsepower paired with a four speed manual gearbox. The engine delivers lively performance while remaining perfectly suited to relaxed touring. The car has always been carefully maintained and the mileage is fully documented. With only approximately 41000 kilometres this is a remarkably original example.
